Meet Tasha the Tiger,
Lambert the Lion, Ozzie the Leopard, and Booboo the Black Bear at the
Saipan Zoo.
These are just four of the 21 exotic animals that have been recently
added to the island menagerie, giving residents and tourists many new
reasons to visit or revisit the only zoo in the CNMI.
Aside from the four, there's Liberty and Oppie the monkeys, Jinga the
genet, Shadow and Timber the foxes and Bobbie the bobcat. Other new
set of animals includes kinkajous from the raccoon family, parrots,
cockatoos, owls, a vulture, a hawk, emus, iguanas, coatimundi and
Serval cats.
The Saipan Zoo is open every day including Sunday from 9am to 5pm
only. Local rates are $10 for adult and $5 for children.
Schoolchildren rate is only $3.75 per student.
The Saipan Zoo also has group promos for every family of five, there
will be a 10 percent off, while for a group of 10, a 15-percent
discount applies.
